The Music Shoppe Instrument Listings
On our instrument listing page you'll find instruments from both The Music Shoppe and our customers. These are "classifieds" style listings; you describe your instrument and give out contact information so that buyers may reach you. The Music Shoppe does not handle any of the payments UNLESS you choose to consign your instrument with us.
Listing types
The Music Shoppe offers two versions of our listing service. You can choose to list the instrument yourself and follow the steps below OR you can consign the instrument with us.
Consignment
To consign it with us you need to bring the instrument into our store and sign a consignment agreement. We'll take care of all the details involved in listing your instrument on our site, and assisting potential buyers. A consignment involves a $15.00 fee plus 7% of the final selling price of the instrument ( which you determine). The advantage is that your instrument gains in-store exposure. Customers who browse our store will have access to your instrument. Call or email if you have any further questions.
How do I list my instrument?
To create your own listing
1. Create an account: new account
This is optional - we understand that everyone has a
multitude of usernames and passwords to remember and we won't force you to add to it!
Creating an account with us simply allows you to track and edit your listings and allows you
to track your online catalog purchases. Just remember - you will not be able to
edit your listing in the future if you don't have an account.
2. Enter information: Go to our new listing page and enter the information for your listing. You'll be asked to enter a title, a brief description, and then a detailed description of your instruments. You'll also be asked for personal information - this info will not be accessible to potential buyers, it's simply for our billing records.
3. Enter payment: Enter your credit card information to pay for your listing. Your card info is not permanently stored on our server. We use it for this transaction only and then remove it.
Listing Fees
2 month listing: $4.00
4 month listing: $6.00
6 month listing: $10.00
