If you consent to receive SMS communications from The Music Shoppe, we may send you recurring text messages regarding rental and order updates, instrument-specific tips, educational resources, maintenance information, student encouragement, special offers, event announcements, requests for reviews, and other information related to our products and services. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message. Reply HELP for assistance.

    The information you provide, including your mobile phone number and SMS consent preferences, will be used solely to operate and improve our text messaging program and to provide you with relevant communications based on your interactions with The Music Shoppe. We may use information such as purchases, rentals, service history, website activity, and responses to our communications to personalize the content we send.

    SMS opt-in data, consent records, and mobile phone numbers will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share this information only with service providers and messaging partners as necessary to deliver and manage our text messaging services, or as otherwise required by law.

We use certain Google Maps Platform APIs to retrieve certain information when you make location-specific requests. This includes: and other similar information. Google Maps uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell towers to estimate your location. GPS is accurate to about 20 meters, while Wi-Fi and cell towers help improve accuracy when GPS signals are weak, like indoors. This data helps Google Maps provide directions, but it is not always perfectly precise. The Google Maps Platform APIs that we use store and access cookies and other information on your devices. We may share your information with Google Analytics to track and analyze the use of the Services. 5. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.
 
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Opting out of marketing and promotional communications: You can unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, replying "STOP" or "UNSUBSCRIBE" to the SMS messages that we send, or by contacting us using the details provided in the section "HOW CAN YOU CONTACT US ABOUT THIS NOTICE?" below. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with third parties.

Account Information

If you would at any time like to review or change the information in your account or terminate your account, you can:

Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. 9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.

California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

California "Shine The Light" Law

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year.
