The Yamaha YTR-9445CHSII Xeno Artist Model "Chicago" Series C Trumpet was developed in collaboration with Chicago Symphony Orchestra trumpeter John Hagstrom. Designed for professional performers, this model delivers exceptional projection, tonal focus, and responsiveness while maintaining the flexibility required for orchestral, solo, and ensemble performance.

A redesigned bell provides a rich, centered sound with a strong tonal core and excellent upper-register playability. The bell gradually tapers toward a flat rim, helping maintain focus and stability across a wide dynamic range.

At the heart of the instrument is Yamaha's Malone Pipe™ (MC1) leadpipe, based on designs by renowned brass artisan Bob Malone. Combined with a shallower mouthpiece receiver, the leadpipe provides quick response, excellent intonation, and an ideal level of blowing resistance.

Redesigned lightweight pistons, valve casings, and tuning slide components contribute to a highly responsive feel while preserving control and tonal consistency.

The first valve slide features a dedicated brace that enhances tonal focus and clarity, while the redesigned third valve slide allows extended adjustment for low F and alternative fingering applications.
