Welcome to Pedal Pass, a subscription-based rental program at The Music Shoppe, designed for guitarists, bassists, and tone chasers who love to explore new sounds without the commitment of buying every pedal.

How it works:

For just $60 a year, members gain access to a rotating catalog of new and used effect pedals they can rent, test, and enjoy at home, in the studio, or on stage.

With your access, you pay low rental rates to “try” the pedals for two weeks in your home and build equity to purchase your favorites!

FAQs:

What are the rental rates per pedal?

$10 for standard pedals
$20 for premium or boutique pedals

How do I build that equity?

50% of your rental fee can go toward the purchase of a new pedal.

How old do you need to be?

The age limit is 18, with the opportunity to have a parent/guardian cosigner for our younger crowd.

What type of pedals are included so far?

Pedal Catalog includes overdrive, fuzz, delay, modulation, reverb, synth, and more—regularly updated with new and used models.

What if I keep a pedal for more than 2 weeks?

We really want you to return the pedal, but if you keep it for more than 2 weeks, you will have an additional $10 or $20 late fee automatically charged to your card.

What if I want to buy the pedal I rented?

We expect this! Come back into the store and work with one of our pedal keepers to either purchase the one you rented or a new version of the same pedal.
