The PRS DGT is the result of more than twenty years of collaboration between Paul Reed Smith and David Grissom. Built from the McCarty platform and refined through years of touring and recording, the DGT combines vintage-inspired feel with the precision and consistency of PRS Core craftsmanship.

The carved maple top paired with a mahogany body provides a warm, balanced tonal foundation with excellent sustain, clarity, and dynamic response. The DGT neck profile and taller jumbo frets create a comfortable playing experience with exceptional control for expressive bends, lead work, and rhythm playing.

PRS DGT humbuckers were specifically voiced for this model, delivering a responsive, vintage-inspired character with strong articulation and musical clarity. Independent volume controls for each pickup allow players to blend tones or set separate rhythm and lead levels for quick transitions.

A push/pull tone control activates coil taps, expanding the tonal range with more articulate single-coil-inspired sounds alongside the full humbucking voice.

The PRS tremolo bridge and Phase III locking tuners provide smooth performance, expressive control, and dependable tuning stability. The DGT ships with PRS Signature 11-49 strings, reflecting David Grissom's preferred setup for feel, response, and tone.
