Fender Squier Classic Vibe Active 70s Jazz Bass 0374543508

Description:

Squier Classic Vibe Active '70s Jazz Bass in Ocean Turquoise with a poplar body, maple neck and fretboard, Fender Designed Alnico Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups, onboard 9-volt preamp, and HiMass bridge.

The Squier Classic Vibe Active '70s Jazz Bass combines the bold look and punchy character of 1970s Jazz Bass models with modern active electronics and noiseless pickups for expanded tonal versatility.

A poplar body is paired with a maple neck featuring a comfortable C-shaped profile and vintage-tinted gloss finish. The bound maple fretboard features pearloid block inlays, a 9.5 inch radius, and 20 narrow tall frets, giving the bass a distinctive '70s-inspired appearance and comfortable playing feel.

A pair of Fender Designed Alnico Noiseless Jazz Bass pickups delivers the clarity, definition, and punch associated with the Jazz Bass while keeping unwanted hum to a minimum. The onboard 9-volt preamp provides master volume, pickup blend, master tone, and treble/bass boost controls for detailed tone shaping. A two-position mini toggle lets you switch between active and passive operation.

A HiMass bridge provides a solid foundation for resonance and sustain, while vintage-style tuning machines and nickel-plated hardware complete the classic look.

Why We Recommend It

The active electronics give this '70s-inspired Jazz Bass considerably more tone-shaping flexibility than a traditional passive setup. The noiseless pickups and active/passive switching provide plenty of versatility for dialing in everything from traditional Jazz Bass tones to more modern, sculpted sounds.
