The PRS McCarty Core model was designed to capture a more vintage-inspired voice and feel while maintaining the precision, consistency, and craftsmanship of a modern PRS instrument.

The maple top paired with a slightly thicker mahogany body provides a warm, resonant tonal foundation with strong sustain, rich mids, and excellent clarity. The added body depth contributes to the McCarty's fuller response and distinctive character within the PRS lineup.

The one-piece mahogany neck features PRS's Pattern profile for a comfortable, substantial feel. Paired with a rosewood fretboard, 25 inch scale length, and 22 frets, it provides a smooth playing experience with a familiar, traditional feel.

PRS McCarty III pickups deliver warm, articulate humbucking tones with excellent clarity, dynamic response, and vintage-inspired character. A 3-way toggle switch and push/pull tone control expand the tonal range with both full humbucking sounds and more focused split-coil voices.

Additional features include a PRS stoptail bridge with brass inserts and Phase III non-locking tuners for excellent sustain, resonance, and dependable tuning stability.
